Top 8 Hentai Producers [Best Recommendations]

When it comes to the hentai scene there’s a small portion of content that you simply cannot miss. On the other side of the spectrum, there’s a greater amount of content that’s forgettable. When you’re sifting through the next hentai to watch, you would undoubtedly like some consistency. It’s probably fair to say that there are many hentai viewers that don’t follow, or genuinely don’t care to know more about hentai producers. Some might just watch for the “plot” and move along.

Not everyone will know the names of these producers and even if they do, they may not be able to correlate them with their work. With that being said, we wanted to do these producers and hentai enthusiasts justice. Our plan is to bring them to the forefront and recommend some of the better producers of your favorite animated smut. Now, without further ado, let’s get this sizzling list unraveled!

8. Cotton Doll

Kicking off this list at number 8, is a producer that doesn’t have a ton of experience in the hentai community. Cotton Doll released their first hentai series in July of 2009, titled Elf no Futagohime: Willan to Arsura. It was a one and done fantasy anime that consisted of elves and humans locked in a war for supremacy. Overall, Cotton Doll has produced 9 different series, with a large chunk of them incorporating fantasy elements, such as Ikusa Otome Valkyrie G and Aku no Onna Kanbu.

Cotton Doll’s most recognizable piece of content they produced would have to be Fault!! If you’re familiar with some of the hentai articles here on Honey’s Anime you might remember seeing Fault!! crack some of the top 10 lists here on this website. Fault!! is most notable for its incestuous relationship and sultry threesome action. Cotton Doll also released a follow-up to the Fault!! series in 2013 titled, Fault!! Service: Aratanaru Rival. Despite Cotton Doll’s limited exposure in the world of hentai, they’ve managed to pull off some fantastic work in a span of 4 years.

7. Discovery

Moving along on this countdown, we come across one of the oldest hentai producers on this list. Discovery had their first release drop in September of 1998 titled, Kara no Naka no Kotori. It was an ambitious piece, resulting in 5 episodes and delivering an intriguing story. To this day, Discovery has released a total of 34 different series, with a strong emphasis on rape and torture. They haven’t been active in over 8 years. Their last series, Aniyome wa Ijippari, came out in April of 2008.

Over the years, Discovery has collaborated with several different studios including, the ecchi minded Arms, Seven Arcs and AT-2. The hentai studio, AT-2 worked with Discovery on a lion’s share of their produced content. Discovery’s content heavily features dark and sinister storylines. It’s apparent due to their reliance on non-consensual h-scenes and grim characters. Night Shift Nurses, Blood Royale, Guren and Pigeon Blood all fit that description nicely. It’s fair to say that Discovery has left its mark on the hentai business, whether you like them or not.

6. Y.O.U.C

This next selection hasn’t produced any new hentai series since March of 2012. Y.O.U.C ‘s last hentai offering was a three story manga adaptation titled, First Love. It was co-produced with Digital Works, who they share many producing credits with. Y.O.U.C got their start in the hentai business in 1998 with their first release called Shownoid Mako-chan. Since then, they have gone on to ship over 70 series. With so many to choose from, we’d like to recommend Soukan Yuugi, Gibo no Toiki: Haitoku Kokoro ni Tadayou Haha no Iroka, Toumei Ningen (OVA) and finally, Saimin Gakuen.

From day one Y.O.U.C made it clear that they wanted to be different from other producers out there. An example would be Jinkou Shoujo: Henshin Sex Android that focuses on a sex android that transforms into celebrities and co-workers to do perverted things to Hirau. Not to be outdone, Issunboushi (OVA) involves the main character who shrinks down in size and proceeds to passionately stimulate ladies in a rather peculiar fashion. Some of these stories might be too farfetched for some, but they stand out, and that’s what we like about Y.O.U.C.

5. JapanAnime

Our next choice on the countdown had their first bit of work in the hentai business released in November of 2000. It was a 5 episodic, fantasy adventure by the name of Kokudo Oh. Even though it was a solid introduction to the community, they really didn’t start to see great success until they teamed up with another producer on this list, Milky Animation Label, to co-produce Mahou Shoujo Ai in 2003. A few months later, they teamed up again to co-produce JapanAnime’s most well-known hentai to date, Enbo.

JapanAnime went on to produce content for another three more years with some quality franchises such as Houkago: Nureta Seifuku, Makai Tenshi Djibril, Nikuyome: Takayanagi Ke no Hitobito and Boin. In total, they delivered us with 30 different series. 2004-2006 was their busiest years, shipping 23 of those 30 in that span. JapanAnime has worked with numerous studios and producers over their 6-year run. Studio Jam and Flavors Soft were the two studios they worked with the most. JapanAnime’s subject matter tends to include many female characters per series. If that’s something you crave, JapanAnime is a solid choice.

4. Suzuki Mirano

Now entering the medial portion of the countdown, we come across a producer that specializes in female domination and sex slavery. Suzuki Mirano has been around the hentai business since their first series, Manin Densha, in 2005. When we think of Suzuki Mirano it’s hard not to talk about the countless females that are either blackmailed or forced into becoming sex slaves, for one reason or another. So much so, that our very own Top 10 Anime Slaves list, consists of 3 girls from Suzuki Mirano content.

Although they have recently eased up with newly produced series, they’ve remained fairly consistent throughout the years. Their newest series titled, Shiiku x Kanojo: Tenshi no Kousoku-hen has already released 3 episodes since debuting in August of 2016. If Suzuki Mirano sounds like a content producer that interests you, we highly recommend checking out, Cafe Junkie, Gakuen de Jikan yo Tomare, Ran->Sem: Hakudaku Delmo Tsuma no Miira Tori and Ryou Seibai!: Gakuen Bishoujo Seisai Hiroku.

3. Mary Jane

Mary Jane has been selected as our number 3 hentai producer for a variety of reasons. Firstly, because of their chosen content. The stories that they relay aren’t overly complicated and the art style and animation are fantastic. The next reason that comes to mind for us, is their consistent nature. Ever since releasing their first bit of hentai content in 2010, they have gone on to release a minimum of 3 new series, every single year from 2010-2016. Needless to say, they’ve been kept busy, and it’s been greatly appreciated.

Some hentai producers prefer to run fantasy or supernatural elements in their stories, Mary Jane isn’t one of them. They’re best known for their work with plots that involve the school setting. A large chunk of the 30+ series from Mary Jane consist of either teachers or students in a school environment. Examples of that would be, Joshikousei no Koshitsuki, Toshi Densetsu Series, Imakara Atashi...... and Mesu Nochi Torare. Add this all up and we can say with certainty, that Mary Jane has definitely earned their spot as one of the elite producers in all of hentai.

2. Milky Animation Label

When it comes to our number 2 pick, whether you’re new to hentai or not, there’s a strong possibility that you’ve seen their iconic logo that appears before most of their work. Milky Animation Label is distinguished in the hentai community and is one of the most recognizable names in the business. Where many producers have come and gone throughout the years, Milky Animation Label has continued on strong with continuous content for over 14 years. A feat that has only been matched by one other company and that company happens to be our number 1 pick.

When it comes to Milky Animation Label we’re just going to let the content do the talking. With well over 100 series that they’ve taken part in, and collaborating with some of the best studios and producers, it’s easy to see why they’re heavily regarded as one of the forefathers of hentai. They have arguably, the most well-known hentai on their resume by the name of Bible Black. As well as other classics such, Shoujo Sect, Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo: Sanshimai to no DokiDoki Kyoudou Seikatsu, Resort Boin, and Aneimo. Don’t miss out on these magnificent hentai!

1. Pink Pineapple

Here we are, folks! We are proud to deliver our number 1 selection to you. Pink Pineapple jumped into the business and released their first hentai in January of 2004 with Kawarazaki-ke no Ichizoku 2. Almost two years after their debut, they struck gold with our most recommended hentai of all-time, Stringendo: Angel-tachi no Private Lesson. Honestly, it would take us a near ice-age to list you the entirety of hentai on their resume. We would like to say, unlike some other producers out there, Pink Pineapple covers essentially every single genre, fetish or kink that has been produced.

One of the reasons why Pink Pineapple reigns supreme on Honey’s Anime Top 8 Hentai Producers list, is because they average an astonishing 15 hentai series releases, per year. It’s quite tough to beat that, especially when you look at their landmark total of 180 series shipped. In addition to the sheer amount of content, Pink Pineapple has worked with a plethora of studios and producers over the years; making them the industry leader. It’s fair to say that if you’ve watched only a minimal amount of hentai, there is a good chance it was produced by the king of hentai, Pink Pineapple.

Final Thoughts

That will conclude yet another scintillating countdown on Honey’s Anime. We hope after reading this list, you have a better understanding of the hentai community. The producers play a large role in the outcome of hentai, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of their work is going to be consistent. What we can do, is recommend what we feel is the cream of the crop.

After reading our list, did we miss any producers? Would you arrange them differently? Be sure to tell us in the comments section below!
