Wow. We didn’t expect Chigira who is such a bro to be the most wonderful person to be with. Although he is quite indifferent toward others, he volunteered to be Kisaragi’s one-sided love interest. The whole point of this suggestion is to help look for someone she genuinely interested in. Or so you thought.

1. How Not to Attract Your Crush (?)

Before you comment, we do not condone stalking. Unless your person of interest is into that, that is a whole different story. So after Chigira gave his permission to Kisaragi to have a one-sided relationship with him, Kisaragi makes a long list of things to do which, without a doubt, is stalking material.

Chigira’s indifferent personality makes their relationship interesting, where he goes with the flow and wants her to focus on him all the time. Yes, he did mention that she should not fall in love with him, which contradicts the goals of this relationship. Kisaragi is finding a hard time defining her true feelings during this whole ordeal.

2. Classics

The character designs in this series are a bit generic, but the intention behind this series focuses more on the story and character development between Kisaragi and Chigira. The special moments they shared and the issues they faced together. However, the background designs felt natural and immersive to pull us into their world and appreciate the nature they offered.

3. Direction

Many things are happening between the main characters. It gives the impression that it serves as a foundation of how Kisaragi feels toward Chigira and how fast the story progresses. We can expect in the later volumes where the story doesn’t beat around the bush and get into the actions of the two individuals who carry out such a relationship.

The artwork of this series is tailored to classic. We highly recommend not to expect much on their looks, and the romantic moments of the manga can be found in much other romance manga out there. But the unique part of this manga is the one-sided love relationship that they agreed upon.

Final Thoughts

Nanoni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru (And Yet, You Are So Sweet) is a strange but adorable romance manga because of the interesting and odd relationship the main characters have. The story progression and character developments are the main focus of this series, and not to expect much on the character designs and looks, so you don’t have to worry about the slow pacing type of story. Aside from the one-side relationship, both characters have agreed on, the content can be found in any other romance manga. If you are interested in a one-sided love type of manga, give this one a chance.
