Welcome back to Honey’s Anime where we bring you the latest and greatest when it comes to all things otaku related. Today, Honey’s Anime wants to bring to you news of a great little website called Ani.me. What is Ani.me, you might ask? Why do you need to know about it? Well, as an otaku, you could find some benefit to using Ani.me over other websites. However, just sit tight and tune in to find out more about this wonderful new website called Anime.
Website: https://ani.me/
What’s it All About?
First off, Ani.me is a new anime website aimed to give fans anime that they can watch utilizing the shortest URL possible. Well, that’s the simplest way to put it all. Just imagine how easy it is to just think of an anime you want to watch, and then plug in a URL into your web browser that looks like: ani.me/naruto. Or, if you are stuck and have no idea what you want to watch, you could just plug in ani.me/watch and there you are, a bunch of anime available for your viewing.
At this particular stage, Ani.me is a bit young but still manages to have a good number of popular anime for every otaku. They even have the licensing rights for 3 anime in particular: Girl's High, Rio: Rainbow Gate, and Kite. If none sound very familiar to you, you may have heard about Kite on our Controversial Anime article as it is met with lots of controversy for its inclusion of rape, brutal gun violence, and psychological elements.
Of course, there are other popular titles as well like Angel Beats!, One Punch Man, and Amnesia, so as an otaku fan, you are sure to see a few titles that might interest you no matter what genre you prefer. These are legally provided by other sites and embedded onto Ani.me to make it easier for otaku everywhere to find all the shows that they want on one website. You can get videos from your favorite sites like HULU, Netflix, and Crunchyroll.
Plus, with the recent update, the user experience is enhanced for each of the anime listings on the website to make the experience that much better for you.
Forum
One aspect that really caught our eye about Ani.me is the inclusion of a forum. This takes us back to the days when manga communities and anime communities were based on forums to build friendships and share thoughts. While places like MyAnimeList and Crunchyroll still have forums up on their websites, it feels like it’s becoming a dying artform (outside of Reddit). Sometimes, it can be difficult to form friendships in communities that are already close knit. That’s why it is so great that Ani.me has a forum that allows new users to talk to each other and form new friendships, which will essentially cause people to keep coming back to each other.
Imagine that you can go back to a website where there are people who are seeking out otaku just like yourself. Ani.me makes it easy to start anime discussions and get recommendations while forming friendships. If you got tired of the same threads at Crunchyroll or MyAnimeList with the same recommendations, perhaps Ani.me can be a refreshing change of pace for you.
News
Of course, like many different types of entertainment, we fans need to know the news! What’s going to air soon? What is getting an anime adaptation? Well, Ani.me provides viewers with anime news of what’s going on and at the moment, appears to be mainly based on anime news itself. So if you are a fan of having everything all in one stop, Ani.me has got it all figured out so that they can provide this service to you the otaku at no cost. You are even given the option of seeing all of Ani.me’s top anime news so that you will get to see all of the good stuff first before moving onto the other news.
Recently, Ani.me has updated their website so that you can get all of the latest anime news and notice them sooner on their website. There’s quite a lot in the way of their news from anime airing this season to first impressions to newest releases.
Final Thoughts
It’s amazing to see how far the anime community is spreading and how big it is getting. What was once fueled by fansubs only is now a large network of licensing companies and legally streaming anime websites. That’s how we’ve gotten great anime websites like this newest one Ani.me who provides us with an easy way of accessing anime no matter where we go.
What do you think of Ani.me so far? Do you think it has the potential to do great things in our otaku community? Well, we can only wait and find out. In the meantime, please tune in for more anime related content that you can find here at Honey’s Anime.
