Honey's Anime attended AnimeJapan 2017 held in Tokyo (March 26th) as press, and this is one of short reports of stages we covered.
The Fate series is an extremely popular one here in Japan, and just by the people in attendance we could tell that this was going to be an interesting one. The event kicked off with the conductor Kanazawa from Aniplex, as he appeared on stage to introduce what would be shown during the presentation. He ushered in the voice actors from the Fate/Grand Order title, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Rie Takahashi, Rumi Okubo, along with Ayako Kawasumi to the stage. They all sat down together and discussed topics pertaining to the previous Shinjuku story that already released, with all the fans eager to know more about fresh information. Mr.Kanazawa decided to call out FGO's project creative director, Yousuke Shiokawa to the stage, and fans roared in excitement as he made his presence known. Mr.Shiokawa discussed some topics pertaining to FGO before unveiling the PV for Fate/Grand Order along with some spectacular images, which everyone in the audience were thrilled to see.
The PV wasn't too long, but it gave us a glimpse of what to look forward to while experiencing the game in VR. A new event was also announced titled "Guda Guda Meiji Ishin" which will take place in Fate/Grand Order. A very big announcement was then unveiled which was the Fate CCC Extra x Fate/Grand Order collaboration which was written by Kinoko Nasu, who is the one behind writing the original story for the Fate series. After fans jumped for joy for this wonderful announcement, another big one was then unveiled which was that a Fate/Grand Order stage play will take place July of this year. A new anime titled Fate Apocrypha will air July 7th, with the exclusive PV being shown for the first time to all of us in attendance. We can definitely say that the PV looked extremely promising and so definitely look out for it once it releases for the summer season.
3 Seiyuu appeared to promote the upcoming anime, Natsuki Hanae, Kouki Uchiyama along with Junichi Suwabe, and they all expressed their excitement to be a part of Fate Apocrypha but they didn't want to give away too much information about their characters and their true purpose. Other very prominent announcements were that there will be a special 2 year anniversary event that will take place at Makuhari Messe July 29th and July 30th, a Blu-Ray box set and soundtrack for Fate/Zero will be released, and then October 14th Fate/Stay night Heaven's Feel 1st Chapter will be released. There's going to be a lot of Fate action this year, so if you're a huge fan of the franchise then all of this is something to get thrilled for!
