What You Need to Know:
- It seems that the cosplay community is now about to receive the unfortunate news of the Corona Virus, as Street Festa (Nipponbashi Street Festa), arguably West Japan's biggest cosplay street festival, has been cancelled due to virus outbreak via Twitter. This news comes just after recent events that had anime episodes delayed due to similar reasons, along with Anime Japan being affected, and now the community is unsure of what will happen next. While this will certainly leave a big dent in the cosplay calendar for cosplayers, the positive thing is that the risk of the virus spreading is dilluted. That being said, it's still quite disheartening to hear that major companies are taking initiative to postpone or cancel events due to the Corona Virus, and now Street Festa is the next in line.
- Who will be the next victim in this situation? We'll definitely keep our eyes and ears close to the streets and keep you posted. In the meantime, be sure to check out our article on Nipponbashi Street Festa 2019, which we happily attended!
Man, this is just getting out of hand now...
What will be cancelled next?! This is truly absurd..
