Characters & Voice Actors
Hiiro Ryugazaki: Gakuto Kajiwara
A 2nd-grade student from Tensei School. He likes Shadowverse and thinks about it all the time. Never giving up when facing setbacks, his biggest weapon is his strong will.
Lucia Yonaduki: Junya Enoki
A lonely Shadowverse player who frequents the Obsidian Academy. Possesses an overwhelming power capable of subduing any opponent into retreat. She seems to be hiding some sort of secret behind her relentless search of strength.
Mimori Amamiya: Kaede Hondo
Hiiro's classmate. A bit bothered by the fact that she is "ordinary". Afraid of ghosts and horror stories.
Kazuki Shindo: Hayato Taya
Hiiro's classmate. Good at sports, but not so good at Shadowverse. Having 6 younger brothers and sisters, he has a naturally caring personality.
Kai Ijuuin: Atsumi Tanezaki
A Shadowverse player who regards himself as a "super genius". He likes to predict in which turn he'll win a match, having total confidence in his abilities. Among other oddities, he calls opponents he doesn't respect by their full name
Alice Kurobane: Yui Ogura
A very popular idol, that everybody knows of. She is not very fond of her extreme popularity. Although keeping it a secret from others, she is a fan of ghosts and occult stuff.
Maura Averald: Yuichi Iguchi
A mysterious boy who likes to tease Hiiro. He likes to corner his opponents slowly. Who knows what secrets are hidden behind his smiley face...

Honey’s Highlights
This is probably a hit or miss, but the MC looks a lot like Yugi so I'm getting the Yu-Gi-Oh! vibes.
Well, the source is a mobile TCG, so...
So we have the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens but also this? The name alone sounds like a rip-off of the Shadow Realm!
They better make it super dark, like WIXOSS, or I'm not watching it.
Three Episode Impressions
Shadowverse is not for everyone, that's for sure, but it looks good if you're looking for a shounen anime about TCG. Of course, it's full of tropes and it's already so predictable, but kids are the target audience and we shouldn't forget about that when judging the plot and characters.
Hiiro is a one-trick pony and his Ignis Dragon is definitely too OP for a newbie, but we also have a lot of deus ex machina moments. That means his genki attitude and sudden Shadowverse proficiency—he didn't even own a smartphone to play Shadowverse with before the anime starts—are hard to swallow, especially when he's consistently beating one strong foe after the other. As far as we can tell, Shadowverse may not bring anything new to the table, but it delivers all you would expect from a shounen card-fighting anime.
