The two join Shinden Higashi Middle School’s baseball club and find themselves at the mercy of the friction between club members and the teachers’ circumstances. Whilst also clashing with each other from time to time, this pitcher and catcher start to grow as a ‘battery’ - a group for just the two of them.

Takumi Harada

Voice Actor: Kouki Uchiyama

The protagonist of the story. Although blessed with a knack for pitching combined with a powerful strike, he doesn’t have much interest in other people, and tends to be seen as cold by those around him.

Gou Nagakura

Voice Actor: Tasuku Hatanaka

The other protagonist of the story. Pulled in by Takumi’s pitching that he witnessed in the past, he starts to get involved with Takumi as the catcher who can receive his pitch. He has a bright and carefree personality.

Seiha Harada

Voice Actor: Yuui Fujimaki

Takumi’s younger brother. Although he has a weak constitution and often gets ill, he admires his big brother and wants to become a pitcher. Sensitive and observant of what’s going on around him, sometimes he works out what Takumi is feeling before anyone else and gives him advice.

Shuugo Kadowaki

Voice Actor: Yuuki Ono

Number 4 and batter of baseball powerhouse Yokote Second Middle School. Super-serious and sincere. A power hitter whose name is known across the country. After witnessing Takumi’s pitch with his own eyes, he becomes obsessed with having a match against him.

Shunji Mizugaki

Voice Actor: Ryouhei Kimura

Yokote Second’s shortstop. He’s always wearing a cynical smile and acts aloof, as though he has nothing to do with anything. He’s childhood friends with Kadowaki, and mocks the object of his obsession Takumi by calling him ‘Hime-san’ (Princess.)

Kazuki Kaionji

Voice Actor: Yuuichirou Umehara

The captain of Shinden Higashi Middle School’s baseball club and shortstop, number 4. A player skilled at both offence and defence, he’s deeply trusted by his club members. He may look simple and quiet at first, but he’s actually an excellent tactician who unconsciously works out his opponents’ weak points.
