Synopsis
After fending off an extraterrestrial invasion, humanity has spread out to inhabit the entire solar system in an age of prosperity. Now, 100 years later... The Divine Undoukai competition has humanity on the edge of its collective seat! Girls from every corner of the solar system gather on the University Satellite to compete in every sport imaginable. The last contestant standing receives the title of “Cosmic Beauty” and can become next in line as the queen of the solar system. Earth-born Kanata Akehoshi yearns to reach outer space to fulfil a promise she made as a little girl. Winning through the prelims at a training camp in Antarctica, Kanata reunites with her friend on the satellite and can finally keep her promise.

Kanata Akehoshi: Sumire Morohoshi
The friendly “potato girl” and Earth’s representative. Born into a family of potato farmers from the northern continent, working in the fields since she was able to walk has turned her into an incredibly strong athlete. Bright and friendly to everyone she meets, Kanata idolizes her first coach and grandmother from the bottom of her heart.
Eva Gallenstein: Yui Ishikawa
A “super girl” clouded in mystery. Representing the Von Esclavo Colony, Eva outpaces the competition in every event she enters. Refusing to interact with the other athletes, her true origins are an enigma. She never shows any emotion or feeling. Kanata seems to know her from somewhere...
Shelley Wong: Miyu Tomita
A stalwart in the face of despair, Shelley is a hard worker from Venus. The Wong Family has had aspirations of conquering the Undoukai for generations, and now it’s her turn. Raised to be the perfect athlete and shouldering her family’s wishes, Shelley lost her right arm and her left leg in a horrific accident. However, she refused to retire and trained relentlessly to represent Venus with prosthetic limbs. That being said, she would rather die than receive sympathy from others.
Yana Christopher: Saori Hayami
The refugees’ hope. Yana represents Luna. She is a practitioner of the Beginners Faith. She became a refugee as civil war was breaking out on Luna. Yana decides that she wants to become a Cosmic Beauty, and hopefully use her position to end the wars. She competed with a long-standing rival and friend in order to become Luna’s representative. She brings with her a space kangaroo that she picked up at the ground of war.
Lydia Gurtland: Akari Kitou
The despised devil’s daughter. Lydia is Mars’ representative. She’s the daughter of the CEO of the Gurtland Group, which is a company that’s hated by many and often referred to as the merchants of death. Becuaes of this, Lydia has been ignored and avoided by other people for most of her life, giving her a proud and arrogant attitude as well as a temper. She’s a small girl, but her mental strength is higher than most.
Paglia Respighi: Hikaru Nanjou
A genius girl who’s also a doctor. Paglia is Pluto's representative. Paglia is a gifted girl who excels both in studies and sports. She’s a medical practitioner and she decided to attempt to become the Cosmic Beauty so that Pluto’s medical technology could develop further. She is very kind and friendly, but she can also be very calculating, and doesn’t speak her mind very often.
