What You Need to Know:
- At the end of their Expansion Pass Stream this Tuesday, The Pokemon Company unveiled BUMP of CHICKEN's new music video, titled "GOTCHA!" which features the band's track "Acacia" and every main character and memorable pokemon in the history of Pokemon.
- The video begins with a group of boys (the band?) walking along train tracks and then shifting to the birth and growth of a boy and girl and their relationship with their respective pokemon—Pikachu and Eevee, of curse! The video then goes on to tug at our heartstrings with more and more recognizable moments and faces like Profesor Oak, Gary, MewTwo and more.
- The video was done as both a celebration of Pokemon in general as well as to commemorate the upcoming launch of "The Crown Tundra" game expansion on October 22 and was made in collaboration with BONES for the animation, bringing the moving video to life in the style we've all come to know and love, while BUMP of CHICKEN'S music envelops all the nostalgic feelings in the way only they can.
- According to the official Pokemon YouTube channel, the video is now available with subtitles in nine languages!
- BUMP of CHICKEN has been in the anime scene for a very long time, having made opening and closing themes for anime like March Comes in Like a Lion, Blood Blockade Battlefront, and games like Final Fantasy Type-0 and Tales of the Abyss to name a few.
