Synopsis
Bungo Stray Dogs is an epic action story about the conflict between the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia, set in a fictional version of Yokohama. The characters are all named after famous Japanese authors or poets and possess supernatural abilities based on their works.
Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! is the official comedy spin-off featuring the same characters with an adorable chibi art style!

Atsushi Nakajima: Yuto Uemura
A rookie member of the Armed Detective Agency, who is discovered by Dazai. Although timid, he is willing to stand up for what he believes in. His special ability is “Beast Beneath the Moonlight,” which allows him to transform into a giant white tiger.
Osamu Dazai: Mamoru Miyano
A member of the Armed Detective Agency. A free spirit with suicidal tendencies, he wants to kill himself over every little thing. He formerly belonged to the Port Mafia. His special ability is “No Longer Human,” which allows him to nullify others’ abilities on contact.
Doppo Kunikida: Yoshimasa Hosoya
A member of the Armed Detective Agency. Although straight-laced and serious, he is constantly struggling to deal with his partner Daizai’s antics. His special ability is “The Matchless Poet,” which allows him to bring objects drawn in his notebook into existence.
Ranpo Edogawa: Hiroshi Kamiya
A member of the Armed Detective Agency, who uses his “Super Deduction” ability to solve difficult crimes. He has a childish personality and is always eating sweets. His motto is “As long as I’m fine, everything’s fine.”
Kenji Miyazawa: Hiroyuki Kagura
A member of the Armed Detective Agency. He’s a cheerful, rustic utopian who loves eating and sleeping. His special ability is “Undefeated by the Rain,” which gives him superhuman strength.
Junichiro Tanizaki: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
A member of the Armed Detective Agency. He often serves as a stand-in who handles miscellaneous tasks. His special ability is “Light Snow,” which allows him to create illusions to fool enemies. He dotes over his younger sister Naomi.
Akiko Yosano: Yu Shimamura
A member of the Armed Detective Agency and an excellent doctor. Her special ability is “Thou Shalt Not Die,” which allows her to heal external wounds. However, there are always screams coming from her operating room...
Kyouka Izumi: Sumire Morohoshi
The newest member of the Armed Detective Agency. Having been raised by the Port Mafia to be an assassin, she is very naive in the ways of the world. She likes rabbits and tofu. Her special ability is “Demon Snow.”
Naomi Tanizaki: Chiaki Omigawa
An office worker at the Armed Detective Agency. She has a brother complex and doesn’t hesitate to make moves on Junichiro when nobody is looking.
Yukichi Fukuzawa: Rikiya Koyama
The president of the Armed Detective Agency. He has a stern personality. However, he loves cats and priorities the well-being of his employees over missions. His special ability is “All Men Are Equal.”
Ryunosuke Akutagawa: Kenshou Ono
A member of the Port Mafia. He resents Atsushi and wants to settle their score someday. He greatly admires his former boss Daizai. His special ability “Rashomon” allows him to transform into a dark monster.
Chuya Nakahara: Kishou Taniyama
One of the executives of the Port Mafia. His black hat is his trademark. His special ability “Upon the Tainted Sorrow” allows him to manipulate the gravity of anything he touches. He has an intense dislike for Daizai, his former partner in Twin Dark.
