- The official Demon Slayer Twitter account posted on October 18th that the movie Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressah-hen was seen in theaters by 3,424,93 people, with a box office revenue of 4,623,117,450 yen ($43,848,241 USD) in the first three days of its release, setting a new box office record. The post was mostly to thank fans for their support.
- Just the next day, "Your Name" director, Makoto Shinkai, made a post of his own expressing his shock and amazement at the record-breaking success of the film with his own Twitter post, as Your Name is also one of the highest-grossing anime films.
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba THE MOVIE Mugen Ressha-hen is a continuation of the anime adapation of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga series which began in 2019. The movie is scheduled to release in the West in 2021!
