Synopsis
There have been no sightings of a dragon in over 100 years until one suddenly appears and burns the town of Cassardis to the ground. Ethan tries to protect his beloved family by facing off against the dragon, but it rips open his chest and steals his heart. However, to his surprise, he is miraculously resurrected as an “Arisen” by a magical Pawn named Hanna standing by his side. The two of them set off on a quest to get his heart back and slay the dragon. As they venture throughout the lands, they must wage battle with monsters embodying the seven deadly sins of mankind along the way. However, little does Ethan know that every time he kills a monster, he slowly loses part of his humanity...

A young man living with his wife, Olivia, in the quiet town of Cassardis. A dragon suddenly appears and rips out his heart, thus making him an “Arisen”.
Hanna: Nana Muzuki
Ethan’s follower, known as a Pawn. She calls Ethan “Arisen,” rather than by his given name. She accompanies him as his protector on his quest to exact revenge against the dragon.
Olivia : Miyuki Sawashiro
Ethan’s childhood friend and wife. She is pregnant with his child.
Louis: Yuko Sanpei
The boy who lives next door to Ethan. Ever since he lost his parents, Ethan and Olivia have been like family to him.

A poor, young girl who lives in a rundown town. To appease a cyclops she is offered up as a sacrifice.
Doragon: Takayuki Sugo
A dragon that suddenly appears for the first time in over 100 years. It rips out Ethan’s heart and devours it. The dragon tells Ethan to seek it out in its lair.
