Synopsis

“Is your life hard? Then all you have to do is get away.”

In the distant future, humans have evolved to include a variety of forms including beast people, cyborgs, and demons. Tokyo is divided into a number of “clusters” surrounded by high walls controlled by AI. People are no longer able to come and go freely, so each cluster has developed its own unique culture and customs. Most people live happily within their cluster’s culture.

However, there are also people who cannot adapt to the cluster they were born into. This has led to the emergence of those who make a living by smuggling people into different clusters. These “getawayers” use a variety of methods to outsmart the AI and smuggle their clients away.

Run, run, get away as far as you can!
This is a story of five getawayers who help those in need.

Ekua: Tomomi Mineuchi

The protagonist. 17 years old. An ordinary person (?). She’s the leader of Getawayer Extractors, an organization based in Ochanomizu University City. Her public face is that of a high school student who also manages the coffee shop Vostok. Her past is unknown. She has a positive, relaxed nature and is always smiling like a kind goddess.

Feres: Rie Takahashi

17 years old. A demon. She’s a getawayer who works on the front lines. She’s highly athletic and a wizard with guns. Her public face is that of a high school student, and she’s in the same year as Ekua. At first blush, she seems to have a strong personality, but she’s actually quite shy and easily pressured.

Martes: Maria Naganawa

16 years old. A slime human. She’s in charge of operations and combat for the getawayers. Her public face is that of a high school student in the same school as Ekua and Feres. She has a cheerful and lively personality. She loves Ekua and makes her the basis of all her decisions.

Arga: Sho Hayami

An AI robot who acts like an old man. He is in charge of technology and tactical support for the getawayers. He has missiles, laser guns, and other handy tools built into his body. He usually works as a serving robot at the coffee shop Vostok.

Urura: Shinichiro Miki

A wolf beastman. He serves as a vanguard for the getawayers. Due to his healing ability and powerful physical abilities, he specializes in close combat with his twin swords. He usually works as a waiter and guard dog at Vostok. He is the most sensible member of the team. He’s also a gentleman with a keen sense of duty, but since he is only capable of barking, this doesn’t get across to most people.
