What You Need to Know:
- It has been announced that a new drama will hit Japanese television screens this April, titled Final Fantasy XIV: Hikari no Otou-san (Father of Light).
- The drama will be based on a collection of blog posts by the same title from 2009, in which a Japanese man documented his "Father of Light Plan." The plan was to get his father, who is over 60 years old, into Final Fantasy XIV, befriend him in-game, and then reveal to him that he was actually his son.
- Popular actor Yudai Chiba will be playing the role of the son, with award-winning actor Ren Osugi playing his father.

So it's not actually a drama based on Final Fantasy XIV, just two characters playing it?
I think this sounds really interesting! Especially as it's based on a real-life story! What a cute plan~
