What You Need to Know:
- Fortnite has had its fair share of random moments in the spotlight, but it has also demonstrated its ability to reach a wide audience with innovative ideas, especially during a time when everyone is at home. We were all greeted with a live concert event by Travis Scott and Diplo along with other artists conducted a live concert-style event via Party Royale, so it's very clear that Fortnite isn't just a game anymore it's becoming its own entertainment platform.
- With all that being said, it was announced just recently that the game will be hosting an in-game movie night, showcasing a classic Christopher Nolan movie for fans to sit back, and enjoy. The official Fortnite Twitter made the announcement and that the event will take place on Friday June 26th, with one of three movies being shown, which will depend on which region you live in.
- This type of promotion style is a very smart move by the Fortnite team (Epic Games mostly) because it creates not only the incentive to play the game, but encourages fans to get involved in order to create stronger community online. Plus, with everyone at home right now why not take advantage of these great activities?! Beats waiting in line like we usually do..
Hey, why not! This is truly a turning point in the gaming world because now everyone can come together to create fun experiences online.
I totally agree! It gives everyone a chance to be a part of a community that maybe they otherwise couldn't have joined due to distance, etc.
