What You Need to Know:
- MyAnimeList and Honey’s Anime have launched MAL Live, a streaming service that allows anime fans from all over the world to watch anime song concerts and other events. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Lantis Label, Lantis Matsuri was held in June 2019 at Makuhari Messe (Chiba, Japan), and approx. 50,000 people attended this event over the 3-day period. The next Lantis Matsuri will be held at Anime NYC on November 15.
- Users who have signed up for a free MyAnimeList account can watch the stream by purchasing a viewing ticket. This event was planned and organized by qdopp, Inc., which operates the anime information website Honey’s Anime.
- MAL Live is a virtual live space that allows anime fans from all over the world to enjoy the intensity of live concert events, which have become a driving force in the music industry in recent years, in real-time.
- MyAnimeList and Honey’s Anime will continue to collaborate with partners to respond to the wishes of anime fans around the world and deliver the experience of Japanese events through MAL Live.
