They are all here just waiting for us to master their challenging timing sections and see if we can get the highest scores.

Obviously, aside from having a lengthy song list, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ offers up the fantastic gameplay of the previous DIVA titles but with a multitude of new ways to play. Players can still rely on controllers to hit those insane notes but now you can also use a keyboard if you want a new form to master. We did find the reliable controller gameplay to still be our favorite way to try and nail combos but the keyboard setup is fun and good for those who might want to play Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ on a laptop or portable PC unit.

Thankfully, there are loads of ways to preset your favorite options and alter the appearances of the cast without much issue. Though the newest addition to Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ isn’t just in the outfits it’s the visual aesthetic too!

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ offers two distinct visual styles for Miku fans! Players can either go with Mega Mix which is a more poppy visual flair for the cast or Future Tone which is glossier in nature. We rarely found either style to be weaker than the other and had fun replaying songs with both visuals to see what version we liked best. It might seem like a minor addition but Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ really offers gamers a surreal amount of customization for their perfect Hatsune Miku experience.

Now, this might be a complaint found only on our end, but we have seen other reviews and comments with similar thoughts applying it isn’t just us. While playing Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ we did suffer occasional lag spikes and frame rate issues. Were they constant? No, we only had them happen a few times here and there. For us, these minor issues aren’t really that annoying but those who live and breathe the perfection needed to play a game like Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Megamix+ might find this to be a major flaw with this title. Trying to go for 100% completion is already a difficult and daunting challenge but to lose that 100% not because of a missed button press on your end but because of lag, will annoy some players.
