What You Need to Know:
- We have been following the Kakegurui Dorama announcements pretty closely here at Honey's Anime. And why wouldn't we? The series left a lasting impression on the anime community and so more, if done correctly, something that Japan struggles with, can be a boon.
- Today, the show has released the opening sequence for the first episode, which has already aired, and it features the main characters singing along to the opening song Ichikabachika by Re:versed. Kakegurui is known for it's rather jolting jumps in characerizations as gambling happens, and it is clear that the dorama is doing it's best to be as chaotic as humanly possible. - Kakegurui debuted in July of 2017 and told the story of transfer student Yumeko Jabami at Hyakkou Academy where everything is determined by gambling including one's future! This seemingly inhuman girl challenges those who rule one by one and slowly takes them all down. Why does she do it? For the thrill of gambling.
That's pretty much how I want it to be. They are putting on no airs and just going right for it.
It's good. I did not realize how good the series could be till I saw this.
