Nike is the main character of this story and wants to live a carefree life. However, his parents are obsessed with heroes and have forced him against his will to become a hero and travel to defeat the evil king Giri. As he sets out home his hometown of Jimina Village, he is entrusted with Kukuri by an old witch. He pushes his luck and is a bit of a pervert.

Kukuri

Kukuri is the main heroine of this story. A descendant of the Migumigu tribe that previously sealed the evil king Giri, she can cast the mysterious guru guru magic. She has been cared for by the old witch since before she can remember. Because she spent her life in hiding, her knowledge of the world and common knowledge is lacking. She has a strong desire to become a hero and loves heroes.

Kitakita Oyaji

Voice Actor: Katsuyuki Konishi

Kitakita Oyaji is from Kita village and has been passing down the legendary kitakita dance. In order to tell future generations about the kitakita dance, he is looking for a successor. No matter what struggles he may face, he will never give up and has a very strong spirit. His real name is Adburg Eldol.

Juju

Voice Actor: You Taichi

Juju is a girl who works as a miko (shrine maiden) for Runa, a shinto shrine that fights for the teachings of Plato. She does things at her own pace no matter what. On top of having a cool, unbreakable poker face, she is a realist and frequently speaks in a manner that is not miko-like. Usually she is reserved and of few words, but once a fight begins, that impression changes.

Toma

Toma is a boy from Kita village who has dreams of becoming an excellent priest one day.

Gipple

Voice Actor: Takahiro Sakurai

Gipple is a wind spirit that is travelling with Nike and Kukuri. Gipple is overflowing with knowledge and begins to guide the group while helping in various places. By the way, when it is time to fight, Gipple is completely useless because it disappears before anyone realizes. It cannot deal well with ‘stinky’ situations and speeches, so it tends to overreact.
