What You Need to Know:
- There's been a recent trend in the otaku world recently - the digitalisation of manga! Of course you can buy manga volumes for Kindle and other ereader devices in both English and Japanese, but there’s also ebookjapan, where you can preview and purchase a huge range of awesome manga. They even accept foreign credit cards!
- Following this, various magazines have also started bringing fans the latest chapters to read on their computers or smartphones. One example being Kodansha, which serialises shoujo magazine Nakayoshi and various Shounen Magazines.
- The latest to join the race has been Akita Shoten, who plan to make all their magazines available in digital format from March 15. This of course includes their Weekly Shounen Champion, in which Yowamushi Pedal is serialised!
- So what do you think of this development? Would you rather wait for the printed versions to collect, or are you more into digital reading? Let us know in the comments!
