- In the Japanese folktale of "Momotaro", a woman finds a peach baby floating in the river who then grows up to fight off demons. "Peach Boy Riverside" twists the tale around by asking what would happen if htere were more of these "peach boys" in Japan.
- The original manga is by Coolkyoushinja (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) and Yohanne—the latter's first work—and it is now being adapted into a TV anime by Asahi Production.
- Nao Toyama (Yui Yuigahama in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is voicing Mikoto (Peach Boy) and Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy) is voicing Sally, the princess who adventures with Mikoto.
