- Recently the American rights to Death Note expired and Warner Brothers lost the rights to it. Netflix swooped in and with a team on hand is now producting what seems to be rights to produce a new Death Note Live Action Movie.
- Now that they have revealed the actors playing Raito, L, and Misa, Japanese netizens have taken some time to mull this over and do some reflective thinking. Playing Raito will be Nat Wolff, Misa will by played by Margaret Qualley, and L will be played by Keith Stanfield. What are your thoughts on the casting below? Note: this is not to be confused with the Japanese version also coming sometime in 2016. Netflix is making a movie separate from this one.

Reactions Around the Web
When you consider how bad Japanese dramas are, this is pretty good.
I can't say this is bad. So... it's better than nothing!
Wow!!! The actors look so cool! I want to watch this now.
L is going to be Black now? Ok. I can handle that.
This is absolutely going to be better than anything Japan could ever make.
This is an interesting cast. I think I could get behind this look for sure. Who is going to be Ryuk though?
That is a good question. I am glad though that the studio is actually doing this right and not boxing the role, played by someone who is not white, into the criminal. I cannot wait to watch this.
