Great news for those in the west as Netmarble Games Corp., the fastest-growing mobile game company in Asia, will launch mobile MMORPG Lineage2 Revolution in North America within the year.
Lineage2 Revolution launched in 11 Asian countries on June 13, and a week later ranked as the No.1 grossing game in both the App Store and Google Play in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines and Macau, dominating the charts across Asia.
Before recently expanding to the Asian market, Lineage2 Revolution launched only in Korea on December 14 of last year and shocked the global mobile gaming market by reaching $100 million revenue in just 17 days. The game then achieved over $176 million in just 30 days, recording one of the highest figures in global gaming history while only launching in one country. The game recorded over a 6 month-long No.1 parade in the grossing charts in Korea.
Lineage2 Revolution was first introduced through an on-stage session at this year’s Game Developers Conference in March, and now with its direction headed towards the west this will provide a new experience to US gamers.
