What You Need to Know:
- MAPPA, known for "Yuri!!! on ICE" and "Zombieland Saga", has been working on the new anime "Taiso Samurai" which has been set to broadcast this Fall starting October 10th on TV Asahi.
- The anime is set in the world of gymnastics in 2002, when Japan excelled in the field. Former Japanese representative Jotaro Aragaki (29), who devoted his time to gymnastics, is suddenly unable to perform as expected. He spends days practicing but still, his coach recommends that he retire and his daughter, Rei, agrees. However, the destiny of the Aragaki family is changed by a particular encounter...
- Men's Gymnastics' Kouhei Uchimura has even shown support for the anime saying that "Gymnastics is difficult to understand in terms of rules and movements, but I think it is a sport that is attracted just by looking at it. First of all, I don't think it's something you don't want people to see, so I'd like you to watch it, either in anime or in an actual game."
