What You Need to Know:
- Sigh...Well this is just something that came up and quite frankly we're a bit disappointed by this one. Japan as of late has been hyping the heck out of the new Evangelion movie, which was slated to make its debut June 27th but now due to the COVID-19 scare, the official Twitter account released a statement that the movie has been postponed. The official statement tells fans how unfortunate the situation is, since so many people were looking forward to watching it in theaters (we are included). Due to the unprecedented conditions that came from all of this COVID-19, we'll now have to wait just a little bit longer to watch. Until then, perhaps there's those pino ice cream packages and Evangelion Tamagotchi to keep us busy.
- Recently here in Japan, a state of emergency was enforced to encourage citizens to stay indoors, so we can only assume that's one reason why the team decided to put things on hold. Theaters are likely to be closed during this state of emergency. Anno's Studio Khara (rights holder to Evangelion) also released a very heartfelt message to fans, letting everyone around the world know that they'll continue working hard to create interesting animation for everyone.
- We'll keep you updated as more updates become available. What are your thoughts about this?
When will it all end?!!
Dammit...just dammit...
