High-school girl Morina Nanase works part time at Italian restaurant, Trattoria Festa. Through meeting various eccentric characters who are working seriously with Italian cuisine, like the genius-chef elementary schooler Maro Kitahara, she begins to grow as a person.

Piace: Watashi no Italian is yet another short anime this season to consider watching. Our main character, Morina, is a bit of a silly girl as she applies to work at a restaurant where she knows nothing about the cuisine, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. This is a cute little anime short about Italian food and working in an Italian restaurant, similar to the style of Pan de Peace! which is an anime about girls who love bread or even Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? The art style and character designs are very cutesy much like the two aforementioned anime and the slice of life elements are no different. For a short anime lasting about 5 minutes, Piace: Watashi no Italian takes advantage of all of its time and delivers are fairly decent slice of life anime. Whether or not it’ll hold up for the rest of the season is up for debate. At the very least, it is much better than the likes of JK Meshi!!. With that said, so far the introductory episodes are pretty decent and hold true to a slice of life anime.
