What You Need to Know:
- Once again the sinister Coronavirus strikes down another popular tourist attraction in Japan, this time the iconic Ghibli Museum that is a Japanese landmark among fans in the country. It's also home to a handful of very notable anime titles such as Tottoro and Spirited Away, with fans not only from Japan but around the world, flocking to admire the museum for all its nostalgic glory.
- Fortunately for Ghibli Museum this closure is only temporary, which had started from February 25th and will last until March 17th. The Ghibili Museum announced its closure via their main website and issued an apology to their fans about the matter.
- Those who pre-booked tickets before the cancellation date will receive a full refund on behalf of Ghibli Museum, and that specific details as to how the procedure will be conducted are to be announced soon.
- For now, all we can truly do is hope for the best and see whether the Japanese government will create the necesssary steps to prevent more issues like this from happening. Any large scale events however, like the most recent cancellation of Anime Japan 2020, will likely be postponed according to the government.
At this rate we'll likely see all events go down this route...geez.
Might as well stay at home and never leave then!
