What You Need to Know:
- There are tons of cute girls doing cute things anime, and the next one features wonderful & powerful girls. "Gekidol", which will start airing in January 2021 , focuses on a group of girls trying to succeed in the theater world. Except, their world has been mysteriously devastated and they now want to use acting to aid in the recovery.
- The setting of "Gekidol" is Tokyo 5 years after a mysterious disaster decimated the population and many cities disappeared at the same time. The world is still in chaos, but many people are making an effort to rebuild their civilization. A group of girls are suddenly attracted to stage acting using the "Theatrical Material System", which uses 3D holograms while acting on stage. Their story and performance begins as they embrace their own belief and hope...
- A Teaser Visual & PV have been published and in both of them, the protagonist Seria and her friends are shown imagining themselves performing in front of an audience some day.
- At the same time, "Alice in Deadly School"—a play within "Gekidol"—will be made into an anime as well! (How meta!) The character & voice actors have not been revealed yet so stay tuned!
