Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 15 almost feels like a rebirth of this series! Gone is the annoying Hachimaru who mirrored the child version of Naruto and enter a man who knows that he can’t be foolish at the moment. Daruma shares with Hachimaru the past and how the boxes—Pandora and Mandala—came to be and why they exist. We learn that Ata gained power from a supremely strong samurai and began to seek even more of it, thus why he needs the boxes to be opened. Due to the interference of Hachimaru’s dad, the Mandala Box was a failed opening and now, it’s up to our hero to prevent Pandora’s Box from being opened by the wrong hands. Daruma tells Hachimaru that despite his blindness he can see the “A and Un” and sees Hachimaru as a proud samurai protecting a beautiful princess. Meanwhile, Ann tells her leader she plans on sticking by Hachimaru and when the two meet up, Hachimaru confesses his lie, but Ann quickly forgives him with the condition that he keeps his word and protects her. Our samurai have a mission…save the galaxy and the beginning starts now! Overall, chapter 15 of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den was incredible and really surprised us with this feeling that the series is going to get more serious while probably still having some silly moments sewn in. Let us discuss why you need to read chapter 15 and maybe why you should give the series another chance!
1. True Beginnings
We can’t stress this enough, Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den feels like a rebirth of this manga series. With our first major death, Hachimaru has cast aside many of the elements that made him kind of annoying and seems to want to become worthy of his father’s vision of him. While we aren’t going to say Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den is going to be perfect from here on, we think that maybe…just maybe this series will become even stronger!
2. Time to Save The Galaxy
Chapter 15 ends on what seems like the start of a lengthy—and tough—mission. Hachimaru has to face down Ata and his cohorts as well as his own clones possibly in the future. There are a multitude of challenges awaiting our young samurai but he has a goal, he has allies and he has his path! Hachimaru is going to save the galaxy and we’re going to stick by his journey as long as we can!
Final Thoughts
in our minds, Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 15 truly saved this series. That might seem like overzealous words for a minor chapter but equally, this series has had a lot more lows than highs. The last few chapters have reeled in the weaker elements of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den and has given some depth and complexity to a series we prayed wouldn’t be bad. Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den is getting good and we now are anxiously waiting for the next chapter! Do you agree that Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den has become just a bit better?
