Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 17 was a lot of information initially that seemed a bit overwhelming, but once more, the series continues to only go up and we're glad to say the 17th chapter was a great entry once again. Hachimaru learns from his master Daruma that within lies a certain gravity that pulls people towards him. That's why despite having to search the universe for the other key holders, Daruma is quite confident that—like him—they will come to Hachimaru when the time is right. After the information train ends, we see Ata and his group reflecting on what happened to be told by their master that they must go and get Hachimaru. The spooky skeleton head master—what we will call him henceforth—tells Ata to also go, but this time in person. Hachimaru and the gang go to get supplies with our samurai getting a new set of clothes—Ann seems to approve with her blushing reaction—and come back to the ship to find two people on board! We see these two earlier and their comedy banter, but it seems like they could be trouble for our samurai party! Chapter 18 will be dropping on the 13th of September meaning we won't be waiting long for the next one, however until it drops, let's talk more about the positives in this chapter.
1. Hachimaru’s Gravity
In real life, there is a concept that some people just are naturally magnetic. For whatever reason, you want to hang with these individuals and be with them. Apparently, Hachimaru has this pull to him but on a larger scale. If the keys are really going to fly to our samurai from across the sea that is space we can truly say Hachimaru has a gravity to him indeed.
2. New Duds and New Dudes
Chapter 17 of Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den gave our samurai some new clothes making him truly look pretty darn cool! Unfortunately, we also got two new potential threats despite their comedic nature. Are these fellows going to be future foes for our heroes or will they join them in their quest to save the galaxy? For some reason, we are leaning towards the latter option.
Final Thoughts
Samurai 8: Hachimaru Den chapter 17 started off with a lot of info—which we debated making a negative but decided against it—but quickly opened up to some interesting things. Ata is looming again in the distance and now plans to meet Hachimaru head on, our samurai in training has gotten some wicked new clothes to hide his original appearance and two new guys have made an appearance...one of them is apparently named Ryu and the other Kotsuga.
