Synopsis
Tatsuya Yoigoshi was an ace soccer player called the “Indomitable Yoigoshi,” but when he enters high school he uses the opportunity to ditch sports altogether. One day, a certain sports team invites him to check out one of their practices. In this sport, teammates work together to catch the “raider” in their court and drag them down to win. A “running martial art” so to speak. The name of this intense sport is...kabaddi!

Tatsuya Yoigoshi: Yuma Uchida
A famous soccer ace with the nickname the “Indomitable Yoigoshi.” When he enters high school he uses the opportunity to ditch sports altogether. However, a student from the kabaddi team invites him to one of their practices. They make a bet that if he loses a challenge match, he has to join the team.
Masato Ohjo: Nobuhiko Okamoto
The captain of Noukin’s kabaddi team. He has mastered the “counter” technique to cover players with slender builds and prides himself on his top level ability in Japan. When he’s attacking on the court, his expression immediately changes and he goes into beast mode. He has been playing kabaddi for more than 10 years.
Souma Azemichi: Gen Sato
A fellow first year student who goes to the same high school as Yoigoshi. His family is from Kamamoto, a small town in the countryside with a lot of tall mountains, so every day was like doing a strength training workout. As a result, despite his small stature, he is very strong and muscular. He’s only been playing kabaddi for one month.
Kei Iura: Makoto Furukawa
The vice-captain of Noukin’s kabaddi team. He has a knack for analyzing the game and plays with a brains over brawn mentality. At first glance he looks like a kind and gentle guy, but he’s actually very cunning. He takes half-threatening measures to force Yoigoshi onto the team. He’s been playing kabaddi for six years.
Kyouhei Misumi: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
A member of the kabaddi team and a second year student at Noukin. Up until junior high school he was a delinquent who spent most of his time getting into fights. He uses high school as a chance to start over and change his ways. Iura finds out that he’s a reformed delinquent and uses it as leverage to get him to join the kabaddi team. He’s been playing kabaddi for 13 months.
Shinji Date: Shunsuke Takeuchi
A second year student at Noukin High School. He has a baseball background and used to be a pitcher until he was forced to quit due to an injury. One day, while thinking about what he should do now in high school, he is approached by Misumi and ends up joining the kabaddi team. He’s a bit clumsy but is blessed with a muscular body which he uses to his advantage. He’s been playing kabaddi for six months.
Nobutaka Ban: Shinichiro Kamio
Nobutaka has admired Tatsuya ever since he was in elementary school, and he entered Noukin High School just to join the kabaddi club. In contrast to his regent hairstyle and his unfriendly looks, he has a really small voice.
Ryuta Seki: Wataru Komada
Ryuta joined the kabaddi club because a friend asked him to join him. He’s chubby with glasses, and is a very good talker. He used to participate in sumo until middle school.
Yuki Hitomi: Ayumu Murase
Yuki is in first grade at Noukin High School. He joins the kabaddi club with Ryuta. He looks very androgynous, to the point where Tatsuya mistakes him for a girl.
