What You Need to Know:
- Today, Nintendo announced that their beloved Super Mario franchise, will be getting the movie treatment yet again. This time though, rather than live action, the movie will be animated.
- Illumination Entertainment (Minions, Sing, and more), a subsidiary of Universal Studios, will be working with Nintendo to take Mario back to the silver screen again. They have also announced that Shigeru Miyamoto will be a producer of the movie alongside the CEO of Illumination Entertainment, Chris Meledandri. Universal has also announced that they will distribute the film worldwide.
- It was already among the many rumors seen online last year, so it must have just been a matter of time bfore it would come to fruition. What are your thoughts on this?
