What You Need to Know:
- What was to become one of the gaming industry's biggest releases of the new year, The Last of Us 2, has now been delayed indefinitely due to the widespread fears of Coronavirus. This news came in hot earlier today from the folks over at PlayStation, who made the official announcement via Twitter stating that they had to make the difficult decision to delay the launch until futher notice.
- Not only The Last of 2 but also Iron Man VR has been delayed until further notice, which puts both titles pretty much on the shelf until things die down for this global crisis issue. Naughty Dog also tweeted out the unfortunate news as a double confirmation of the announcement. Fans of the series are likely used to delays of this caliber, as the title was scheduled to release February 21st then was pushed back to May 29th. Now we'll never get to experience the trials and tribulations of the now 19-year-old Ellie, who we adored so much in the original.
- This is just another addition to the long string of events that have been announced over the past several weeks since the spread of COVID-19 became more prevelant, with the more recent announcement from Square Enix stating they'll release Final Fantasy VII Remake to Europe and Australia "earlier than usual" in order to make sure die hard fans receive their copy on April 10th. We just pray that delays come to a halt because right now, it looks like 2020 is not looking swell for the gaming world...
DAMMIT! JUST DAMMIT! The one game I was really looking forward to this year!!
