We’re off to a great start with some fantastic anime this winter season! Some anime are returning and continuing from where they left off last season, while we have some new anime premiering this season. This winter season, though, gave us a good handful of anime from the isekai genre. One isekai anime that we have our eye on is about a certain reincarnated princess and young noble lady.
Based on a light novel by the same name, The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and The Genius Young Lady is a tale of two young ladies. Princess Anishiphia, unlike any other princess, defies all expectations of what it means to be a princess of a Kingdom. Instead, by using her memories of her past life, she devoted all her time and love to developing and researching a magical theory called “magicology.” Euphyllia is a young noblewoman who was unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. Being there when Euphyllia was stripped of her title, Anisphia decides to help restore her good name by making Euphyllia her research assistant. Little do they know that they change not only their future but also the future of the entire world.
An Isekai Anime With A Twist
With the isekai genre so saturated for every isekai anime that came out, we wonder what The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and The Genius Young Lady can bring to the table that can make it stand out from the rest. As it turns out, it was an isekai anime with a few unique twists.
One unique twist is that while it is an isekai anime, it doesn’t feel like one due to Anisphia already being established. While in some isekai anime, we often would see our main characters gain some superpowers or cheat before starting their character development, usually starting when first arriving in the new world. In this isekai anime, we are already introduced to a character who was all grown up with an already distinct personality that instantly made us fall in love with her from the get-go. They didn’t even show us how she got reincarnated, only giving us information that tells us that Anisphia is someone with memories of her past life and is currently changing her current world.
Other unique twists that we also find interesting are that it showed some aspects of another anime troupe, the villainous through Euphyllia. By no means is this anime a villainous anime, nor does it have a villainous character as a star, but it showed that it has some aspects you would see in one. It was surprising to us how certain scenes we see in villainous anime were being used in this anime to get the story going.
Started With A Bang, Then Slowing Down For The Story
One thing we wanted to let everyone know is that this anime started off in a surprising, but exciting way. The first episode left us blown away by how they introduced the characters and how they met and set the tone for what this anime will give us through the season. As you continue to watch the next few episodes, that excitement starts to slow down, easing you into what we believe is the start of the true story of Anisphia and Euphyllia. While it didn’t leave a big impact on the first episode, the overall tone they want to give us is still there. One thing is for sure; it left us wanting to watch more.
Final Thoughts
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and The Genius Young Lady is an isekai anime that we have our eye on for this season. With an impactful first episode, we are excited to see where this story will go. We are incredibly excited to see how the relationship between our two main characters, Anisphia and Euphyllia, will go and how it will develop throughout the season.
