What You Need to Know:
- "Gundam Factory Yokohama" which is promoting the "Moving Gundam" exhibition project in Yamashita Pier, Yokohama, announced on August 5th that the Gundam itself was completed.
- This powerful life-size Gundam with a height of 18 meters (59 ft.) has appeared in a special space. In the future, the company plans to make adjustments to the moving parts and they aim to inaugurate it by the end of the year.
- According to the video released by the factory on the same day, the head of the Gundam was lifted by a crane during on July 29th and installed on the body. The main body was assembled upright in the center of the viewing deck (Now Gundam Dock) which resembles a hangar. After completion, there will be a total of 24 moving parts. It is said that the famous scene of the animation "Mobile Suit Gundam" will be reproduced, having the Gundam raising its right arm to the sky.
- The project is being promoted in cooperation with Yokohama City as part of the "Gundam Global Challenge" commemorating the 40th anniversary of the first television broadcast. On the 6th, a plastic model of the "Moving Gundam" on the dock will be released with a price of ¥2,700!
