What You Need to Know:
- There's always something positive to look forward to, even with all that's happening around us and just yesterday a brand new anime movie trilogy for surfing anime 'Wave: Surfin' Yappe!!' was officially announced. The story follows the life of Masaki Hinaoka, a resident of Ooarai in Ibaraki Prefecture who meets transfer student Shou Akitsuki, that shows him the beauty of surfing culture. Through this new experience, Masaki makes new friends while coming to understand the art of surfing, and becoming an adult.
- Wave will be a 3-part movie which will start later this year, with Asahi Production being the studio taking care of things. Ozaki Takaharu will be directing the series, Sarachi Yomi will be conducting original character designs, Fudeyasu Kazuyuki will focus on series composition, while Iwasa Tomoko will place attention on character designs.
- Maeno Tomoaki will be voicing Masaki Hinaoka, who is also known for voicing Decim in Death Parade, along with Free Underbar from Fairy Gone. A teaser PV has been released which you can see above, along with a fresh key visual! We look forward to more details of this awesome new anime, and of course we'll keep you updated!
