Futaba Hanaya
Voice Actor: Mie Mie, Moa Tsukino
17 years old.
High school Student.
Futaba is the heroine of this story. She is quite responsible and appears to be mature, but she’s actually rather delicate. Born and raised in a family of intellectuals, she has been in advanced English classes since she was little. For a certain reason, she finds herself in a 2-D World, and begins to fight in order to save the world.
Hikaru Isago
Voice Actor: Ding Dang
17 years old.
Hikaru is a high school student. Even though he was raised in a happy household, he lost his father when he was 7 and his mother now suffers from an illness. He appears to be friendly and refreshing, but behind that facade, he harbors a dark secret.
Tooru Utsubari
Voice Actor: Liu Mingyue
17 years old.
Tooru is a childhood friend of Hikaru and Futaba’s. His family is very well-to-do, and of the three of them, he has the most honest and upright personality. He has had a crush on Futaba since they were children.
Min-chan
Voice Actor: Shan Xin
17 years old.
Min-chan attends the same high school as Futaba in the capital. She’s Futaba’s best friend and is always doing everything to support her. Min-chan is the heroine of TO BE HERO’s first season and is aware of the existence of the 2-D World.
Hikaru-kun
Voice Actor: Kumai Motoko
3 years old.
Hikaru is the boy with the golden pants who lives in the 2-D World. His entire existence is full of mysteries. When he is provoked, he has the ability to spontaneously emit light. He went to a temple to make a wish, and there he happened to meet Futaba. He has a deep, unbreakable connection to Hikaru Isago.
Chou Oji
Voice Actor: Minami Omi
3 years old.
At first glance, he appears cool and speaks with an adult tone, but at his core, he still has immature and childish parts to him. He has complicated feelings when it comes to Hikaru. Tooru Itsubari transforms into him in the 2-D World.
Simon Fubuki
Voice Actor: Sasaki Nozomu
Simon is Futaba’s Spiclo (Spirit Cloth). He’s the good-looking, gentle character. He has a pure heart and is skilled at the sword. In fact, he is a remarkable swordsman. His weapon of choice is a laser sword and Futaba refers to him as ‘master’.
Minchan
Voice Actor: Junko Minagawa
Minchan is whom Min-chan transforms into in the 2-D World.
She’s impatient and even though she looks really sketchy, she cares deeply for her friends. Minchan is very gentle at her core.
