Starting off with number 10 on the list, we have Vector the Crocodile. Some of you might already know about this character's way before the Sonic X series came out. The character was first introduced into the SEGA 32X franchise game, Knuckles’ Chaotix, which was released in 1995.

Basically, Vector the Crocodile is the leader of the Chaotix Detective Agency, which consists of Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee. This trio agency was first formed during Knuckles’ Chaotix, as detectives for hire. Despite Vector’s intimidating appearance, (he is a crocodile), Vector can be known as quite a gentle soul as he's always ready to willingly help anyone that needs it. His attire and fashion sense say a lot about him; he is seen always wearing headphones around his head, indicating he loves music, and flashing a gold chain around his neck, indicating that he loves to make it rain (Money, money, money).

Next, on the list, we have Espio the Chameleon. As mentioned in the previous entry of the list, Espio is one of the members of the Chaotix Detective Agency that is led by Vector the Crocodile.

Being in the agency, one of his notable abilities is being able to camouflage himself just like a chameleon. Espio is also known to practice the art of ninjutsu, which compliments his overall skills, in terms of investigative skills, as well as, his combat abilities. When Espio was first introduced into the series, he was portrayed to be a bit of a hothead, but eventually mellowed out as the series progressed, overall making Espio a calm, more serious version of his previous self.

Moving on to number 8 spot on the list is Rouge the Bat. Now this character is somewhat similar to “Black Widow” in Avengers. Sexy, mysterious, a trained spy. It’s really hard to determine whose side she's on. In the series, Rouge the Bat had helped Sonic in his missions on multiple occasions. Despite having to side with the good guys from time to time, categorizing Rogue the Bat as one of the ‘good guys’ doesn’t really fit. Why? Because, as you might already notice, Rogue is working as a spy for the government while she herself, is known to be a notorious Jewel thief.

A true mercenary at heart, Rogue the Bat is often described as a realist, which explains why she isn't biased and goes with whoever benefits her the most. Truly the “Black Widow” of the Sonic X series and definitely earns her a spot on the list with her mysterious and seductive ways.

Taking the number 7 spot on the list is Cosmo, one of the main character of the Sonic X series. Being the sole survivor of her species, Cosmo went through a traumatic experience after her home world was eradicated by the evil Metarex. Cosmo managed to escape and wounds up in Sonic’s planet seeking help. Eventually, Cosmo’s plea for help was answered, as Sonic and his allies agreed to help her.

In terms of personality, Cosmo is really kind and gentle, this can be seen as she hates confrontation that results in violence. But ultimately, she does accept the fact that sometimes violence is needed in certain situations. Her notable ability is that she is able to empathize with plants, trees, and even the planet, which earned her the nickname ‘plant girl’. Cosmo also has a quirky side of her, as she often is considered clumsy, which just adds points to how Sonic fans favor this character.

In the number 6 spot on the list, we have the cute and fluffy bunny, Cream the Rabbit. In the Sonic X series, it was revealed that Cream, alongside Dr. Eggman, Sonic, and his allies, were accidentally warped into the human world thanks to the Chaos Control gone wrong. Upon arriving on Earth, Cream took refuge under Christopher Thorndyke’s home.

Cream is considered one of the most polite characters in the Sonic X series. This is due to the fact that she was well-raised by her mother, Vanilla, to become a decent princess-like figure and courteous as well. With Cream, politeness comes above everything, regardless of the situation. Her politeness even comes to a point where she would offer a proper polite curtsy before attacking Dr. Eggman, the main antagonist of the Sonic X series. Her radiant personality and politeness definitely earned her a spot in this Top 10 Favorite Sonic X characters list.

If are familiar with the cartoon “Pucca”, there’s a girl character named Pucca that is obsessed over a male character, Garu, and is basically all over him. The Pucca character is what comes to mind when describing Amy Rose. Although to be fair, Amy Rose isn’t as ‘obsessed’ with Sonic Pucca is with Garu, still, Amy Rose becomes the self-proclaimed girlfriend to Sonic the Hedgehog.

Despite Amy Rose’s erratic behavior, she is considered to be sweet and cheerful and overall, a really fun person to be with. Another point that makes Amy Rose similar to Pucca is that she is quite the badass. Wielding a Piko Piko Hammer, she is one female hedgehog you don’t want to mess with. But even with all her nuisance and temperament, she still has a really kind and pure heart and that’s what gets her in the number 5 spot on the list.

Dashing its way to the number 4 spot on the list is Shadow the Hedgehog. By far, this character is one of the most favorable characters in the series. From his appearance to his personality, Shadow has the ‘badass’ aura all over him. It’s pretty obvious that this badass character would definitely wind-up on the list.

Shadow was originally created as the Ultimate Life Form by Gerald Robotnik, using the DNA of Black Doom, with the purpose to cure all ailments. Years later, Dr. Eggman released Shadow in the efforts to help him achieve world domination. But after a turn of events, Shadow regained his past memories and helped save the world. Shadow also becomes Sonic’s greatest rival, matching him in both skills and speed. Sonic vs. Shadow, who do you think will win?

Now you must be familiar with this character next on the list. Sonic the Hedgehog, the main protagonist of the series. As you probably already know it by now, Sonic was born with the gift of being able to run really fast at the speed of sound, hence the name. But a lot of people favor this character not just because of his ability, but also due to his adventurous personality. He seemed to be very carefree, in the sense of the freedom to do things, essentially not getting bound by anything.

Sonic is also known to have a strong sense of justice, and hates anything evil or ill-intent, earning the respect of people around him. One notable characteristic of this character is that he faces every challenge with excitement, as though it’s something thrilling for him to do. Also, let’s not forget his witty demeanor, even though he may sometimes be full of himself, he still is one of the most favorite characters of the series.

Taking the number 2 spot on the list by storm is Knuckles the Echidna. Much like Cosmo’s past, Knuckles is the last remaining member of the Knuckles Clan, an ancient race of Echidnas that devotes their lives to protect the Master Emerald. Being the sole survivor, Knuckles is shown to be having difficulties adjusting his life as he blends back into civilization because he lacks the social skills that were essential to adapt. It was also revealed throughout the series that Knuckles was uncomfortable around crowded cities, and around women.

From his appearance, you can clearly notice that Knuckles also has the ‘badass’ factor in him, thanks to his spiky knuckles on both his hands. Despite his running speed fairly on par with Sonic, Knuckles was not able to match up with both Sonic and Shadow in terms of top speed. But what Knuckles lacks in speed, he makes up for in strength. All in all, this tough loner definitely takes the number 2 spot on the list

And the number 1 spot on this Top 10 Favorite Sonic X Characters list goes to… *cue music* Miles Prower, or better known as Tails. Now, out of all the cast of characters in the Sonic X series, Tails definitely takes the cake for being the most favorite character.

Miles Prower was a fox cub born with an abnormality. He was born with twin tails. Being different from the majority, he was made fun of and shunned. But upon seeing Sonic for the first time, it inspired Miles to be just like Sonic, a role model that everyone looked up to. With the abnormality of having twin tails, Miles was able to utilize it as helicopter rotors, enabling him to fly using his tails, hence the nickname ‘Tails”.

Tails also has great character development as the series progresses, as he learns to be more confident in his own abilities, yet still being able to retain his pure, gentle and kind personality. Tails is also known for his mechanical abilities, as well as his role as a pilot for the team.
