Since it’s release last year, Overwatch fans have become really attached to the game’s diverse cast of playable characters. Naturally, a cult following has arisen around many of the heroines as well. The life giving, hero resurrecting, angelic mecha-nurse Mercy, however, is a cut above her co-stars.

Mercy is instantly recognizable by her angel wings, skintight suit, and bright beam aura. Aside from her combat medic specs, she boasts a mature body ripened over 37 years, and perhaps kept youthful through her nanobiotics expertise. With such attractive packaging, it’s no wonder everyone on the battlefield is shouting “I need healing!”

Originally an antagonist character who sought to take his life, Trish became more of a Catwoman-like figure to Dante’s Batman. At times working with him, others branching out on her own, she was never too far to lend a hand and playfully flirt with him. When you take into account that she was originally created by the evil Mundus and bears a resemblance to Dante’s own mother, it’s understandable why he might have some reservations. Or it might explain why he keeps her around? That’s totally on him, but fans have embraced her and come to enjoy seeing the character throughout the series. Her alternate Gyaru form, Gloria, also possesses noteworthy appeal, in a Fifth Element kind of way.

When Samus first took the scene in NES classic, Metroid, some gamers were understandably surprised when the mech suit clad bounty hunter was revealed to be a woman. Players who beat the game quickly were even treated to a fanservice ending of her in a pink bikini. However, through subsequent portrayals, it has been hard to see her as anything but sexy. Team Ninja, creators of Dead Or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, brought the character to a new level in Metroid Other M. Sporting her skintight Zero Suit and laser whip, Samus delivers fatal wounds to her enemies and eye candy to players.

Ada Wong cannot be trusted, as both players and Leon Kennedy can attest to. That said, she doesn’t have to be trustworthy to be attractive. Toeing the line between helpful partner and treacherous betrayer, she and Leon Kennedy have an on again, off again relationship. An agent for The Organization, she’s used her good looks to get what she wants time and time again. Although, through the course of her activities, this has sometimes come back to bite her. Set within a universe where evil science is creating unholy abominations, it’s up for debate whether or not any Umbrella research projects went into sculpting Ms. Wong’s physique.

You could joke that one of the first queries any gamer typed into a search engine was “Tomb Raider nude code”. Even as a 540 polygon count blocky model (current Lara has over 40,000), Lara Croft was still attracting attention. Over the years, as games have gotten more realistic and detailed, her physical appeal has grown to match.

In previous games, she has been seen sporting her classic tank top and cargo pants look, but in the Survivor series she has adopted a more reserved style. In Rise of the Tomb Raider, however, her outfits affect gameplay by granting bonus perks, a first for the series. But still, Lara Croft is still Lara Croft. There’s not much she can wear that diminishes her attractiveness.

One of gaming’s hottest vixens, Ivy Valentine has always been the Soulcalibur series’ quintessential sex symbol. Scantily clad in a skimpy bikini top and thigh high leggings, she battles enemies with a whip blade in an extravagant fashion. Her appearance is almost a perfect depiction of a renaissance dominatrix, with the elegant flair of her jewelry and frilly lace accenting her voluptuous form. When selecting her against an opponent, it’s almost guaranteed that their eyes will be distracted for at least one split second during combat. Just make sure yours aren’t as well.

You could argue a case for almost the entire female cast of Dead Or Alive 5 and have an entirely valid point. However, maybe it’s her purple hair and accented Japanese dress that makes Ayane just stand out so much more from her counterparts. The half sister of both Kasumi and Hayate, the beautiful shinobi has had a dramatic past.

As the youngest girl in the series, Ayane sports a more slender and athletic build than the other fighters. Her red eyes, cut-to-her-nape purple hair, and ribbony red sash make for an eye catching combination. Add Team Ninja’s patented jiggle physics to the equation and you have a character that you can’t help but notice.

YoRHa No.2 Type B, or 2B for short, is the beautiful main heroine of NieR: Automata. She is an android designed solely for combat, but it’s clear someone along the way imbued her schematics with the secret formula for sex appeal. The bangs of her short bob cut hair style cover her face, as well as the bondage inspired bandana wrapped across her eyes. Wearing risque leggings and a pair of high heels, it’s very difficult to tell where exactly the form meets function in her exotic build. Even her combat efficiency is sexy, as her skirt flies off when she is forced to self detonate during gameplay, leaving her exposed. If a sexier battle android has ever graced gaming, we haven’t seen it.

Witches are typically not at all pleasant to look at throughout fiction, at least not through natural means. Whether Bayonetta herself uses a bewitching spell upon her onlookers is up for debate, however. Wearing a skintight outfit that is comprised completely of her own hair, Bayonetta strikes poses that work to highlight her slender build. Playfully tracing a lollipop with her lips and coquettishly staring into the camera spices up her already sensual performances. To top it off, she has no qualms about bearing it all for her victory. When performing an ultimate attack, she strips herself naked, unwinding her dress to transform her hair into whatever best suits defeating her opponent. If her looks could kill her enemies, Bayonetta would have no equal in leaving a body count.

If we’re talking about which character has the most fanmade erotic doujinshi made of them, Tifa Lockhart would hands down be the number one. Granted, it would be partially because the character has existed for nearly twenty years, but the fact remains that she possesses a dynamite body. The childhood friend and romantic interest of Final Fantasy VII protagonist Cloud Strife, she spent her time managing her own bar, 7th Heaven. Reuniting with him years after they’d been separated, she immediately recruited him to aid her cause in taking down Shinra. With having such an attractive childhood friend, how could he refuse?

A short cut mini-skirt and a high-cut top accentuate her rather plain styling. She doesn’t have anywhere near as much flair as some of the other characters on this list. However, her curvaceous body, long brown hair and symmetric face all create a well rounded and lovely package. She doesn’t have to try to be sexy, and most of her attributes aren’t what you would only find in a game heroine. There’s something about her design that you could see existing in the real world, making her all the sexier.
