The year is 2030. The Boy Detectives Club is brought together by mysterious private detective Kogoro Akechi. These boys have been instructed in how to solve a wide variety of cases, big and small, using their inherent ability to take action.

One day one of the members, Kensuke Hanasaki, meets an enigma of a boy, Yoshio Kobayashi. Kobayashi, who possesses a body that cannot die due to an unidentifiable mist, wishes only for his own death and rejects contact with others. Intrigued by the other boy’s existence, Hanasaki suggests that Kobayashi join the Boy Detectives Club.

The meeting of these two boys finally becomes entangled with the criminal of the century, the Fiend with Twenty Faces, and Kogoro Akechi, affecting their fate.

Yoshio Kobayashi

A young man possessed by a ‘Mysterious Mist’, meaning he cannot die. Having hurt many people up until now due to his constitution, he has an extremely strong desire to commit suicide. His personality is fairly twisted and he’s got a bad mouth.

Kensuke Hanasaki

Voice Actor: Ryota Osaka

Having admired Akechi since the age of eight, he participates in the Boy Detectives Club. The type to move on his physical instincts rather than use his head. Seems to be an airhead.

Ryou Inoue

Voice Actor: Yuuichirou Umehara

Ryou is the former leader of the Boy Detectives Club. Due to a past incident, the leadership of the Club has now passed on to Hanasaki. He is smart and currently still doles out orders.

Makoto Noro

Voice Actor: Ibuki Kido

The only girl in the Boy Detectives Club, great with computers and in charge of the technical side of things. She doesn’t leave her house, so she communicates through Pippo-chan, an owl equipped with a camera and microphone.

Nao Nakamura

Voice Actor: Azusa Tadokoro

A woman officer in the police force’s public safety division who’s always in and out of the Akechi’s Boy Detectives Club office. She frequently comes to Akechi to request for help in order to solve cases.

The Fiend with Twenty Faces

Voice Actor: GACKT

A criminal whose nationality, gender, and age is unknown. A master of disguise, very few know his real face. He causes incident after incident, as though trying to provoke Akechi, but has never murdered anyone with his own hands.
