What You Need to Know:
- At Crunchyroll Expo today, there was a Junji Ito panel where it was announced that Junji Ito's horror manga, Uzumaki, will be getting its own anime!
- A teaser for the anime was shown at the panel before being uploaded online. Hiroshi Nagahama (known for his work on Mushi-shi) will be directing the series at Production I.G. and Colin Stetson will compose the music. The United States will get the anime's release before Japan through Adult Swim's Toonami block.
- The pre-2000 manga was about a town where the people start to notice a strange spiral shape popping up all over. Viz released the three manga volumes from 2007-2008 and the manga even inspired a live-action movie in 2002.
