Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 135 had quite an interesting new situation arise for Don and Gilda to handle. Norman has “tracked” down the possible location of our demon friends Sonju and Mujika hoping Don and Gilda can protect them in case Emma and Ray’s plan does indeed pan out. However, the two kids quickly realize Norman’s plan isn’t just to protect the demons but to bait them out and while they accept Norman’s request, they do so with their own plan in motion to keep the demons safe. Our chapter ends with a new girl shown—a girl kept by demons and raised by them—who will be a guide for the duo and also shows Ray holding an infant Emma in his arms. Looks like Ray did indeed find Emma, but now will have to try and keep them both alive in the hell of the maze they’re in! Chapter 135 was simple and over quickly, but it still packed a mighty punch making it a must-read chapter!

1. Don and Gilda Prepare for Action!

Our kids truly have come a long way since the beginning of Yakusoku no Neverland, a phrase we have to repeat when we see incidents like this one occur. Norman—despite all his cleverness—clearly tried to manipulate Don and Gilda into forcing Sonju and Mujika out of hiding, but the duo knew Norman’s motives right out the gate! That’s why they whispered to Emma and Ray from within to not worry about anything, they have things under control! Don and Gilda, you make us proud!

2. The Maze Returns

Ray’s final panel moments in chapter 135 of Yakusoku no Neverland show their hell continues getting only worse. Yes, Ray has found Emma but if she’s truly stuck in this infant form, then he’s going to have to fight for both of them and use his own mental strength to find a way out! At least Ray looks younger in comparison to his old image last chapter. Shows that nothing in this maze can be trusted…You almost have to wonder if Emma and Ray are actually making progress within this nightmare or are truly failing to see the power of this wicked place. Maybe now we’ll understand why all those who enter this hallowed ground tend to never return…

Final Thoughts

Yakusoku no Neverland chapter 135 had some truly great moments. The growth of our Grace Field House kids alongside Ray/Emma’s struggle continues making us want more of this fantastic series!
