In Kyoto’s Sakyo Ward on the sweltering day of August 12, the only air conditioner remote for the Shimogamo Yuusuisou student housing building stopped working. “Watashi”’s questionable “friend” Ozu got it wet the night before. As “Watashi” is discussing what to do with Akashi-san, the cool beauty of the Misogi Film Club, a strange bushy-haired looking student named Tamura appears. He came in a time machine from 25 years in the future. At that moment, a genius idea comes to “Watashi.” They could use the time machine to travel back a day and grab the remote before it breaks! However, Ozu and the others willfully alter the events that took place and end up rewriting the past. “Watashi,” having a hunch that the world is in peril, quickly intervenes but he’s too late! Will they be able to recover the remote and return to their normal lives? And will “Watashi” and Akashi-san ever head down the path of romance? The story of how a group of freewheeling college students carelessly squander the use of a time machine to alter the past 24 hours begins!
