What You Need to Know:
- Pony Canyon held the DEEMO THE MOVIE – Utahime Audition to find the singer for their new film and announced that Hinano Takashima, a 14-year old middle school student, won the final round, which happened during Anime Expo Lite 2020.
- Takashima was picked out of 5 finalists and 1400 total participants by a panel of renowned Japanese fronted by Yuki Kajiura (Fate/Zero, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) who will also compose the music for the movie.
- It was announced at Anime NYC 2019 that the popular rythm game DEEMO would get a movie adaptation soon.
- DEEMO is a rythm game that started on mobile in 2013, hopped onto portable consoles and then even the PS4. It was also announced in 2019 that there is DEEMO II being worked on for Android!
