Synopsis
High school student Kimichika Haijima moves back to his hometown, Fukui, after causing trouble in his Tokyo Junior High School volleyball club. There, he is reunited with his childhood friend, Yuni Kuroba, who possesses outstanding physical abilities, but is vulnerable under pressure. Haijima, with his overwhelming passion and talent for volleyball, forms an ace combination with Kuroba.
The two enroll at Seiin High School, where they join the volleyball club. Awaiting them are the 163 cm hot-blooded captain Shinichirou Oda, the talented and sharp-tongued vice-captain Misao Aoki, and several second-year students, including Akito Kanno, who always wears long sleeves due to his allergy to sunlight.
The newborn team breaks its former shell of weakness and becomes Fukui's rising star. This is a story of a volleyball team’s journey to victory against a series of fascinating rivals.

Kimichika Haijima: Kenshou Ono
A first-year at Seiin High School. He moved to Tokyo when he was in kindergarten due to family circumstances. There, he attended a school known for its strong volleyball club, but dropped out and returned to Fukui after a certain incident. He’s completely obsessed with volleyball.
Yuni Kuroba: Junya Enoki
A first-year at Seiin High School. He is the only son of a landowner in Monshiro, Fukui Prefecture. He started seriously playing volleyball after reuniting with his childhood friend Hajima. He is proud of his outstanding physical abilities but is vulnerable under pressure and tends to fail at crucial moments.
Misao Aoki: Yuichiro Umebara
A third-year at Seiin High School. He joined the volleyball team after being invited by Oda in his first year. Intelligent and sharp-tongued, he is vice-captain of the club and vice-president of the student council.
Shinichiro Oda: Kento Itou
A third-year at Seiin High School and captain of the volleyball club. He is more passionate about volleyball than anyone else. However, his height holds him back, so he is considering doing something else after high school.
Akito Kanno: Shouta Aoi
A second-year at Seiin High School. Since he cannot exercise outside due to health reasons, he participates in the girl’s volleyball team’s indoor practices.
Yusuke Okuma: Subaru Kimura
A second-year at Seiin High School. He previously belonged to a different club but transferred to the volleyball club after an invitation from the vice-captain Aoki. He stands out for his lack of delicacy.
Subaru Mimura: Kaito Ishikawa
A third-year at Fukuhou Technical High School. The captain of one of Fukui Prefecture’s top teams, which has participated in many national tournaments, he is an ace player known as the “Devil’s Bazooka.” He leads the team with his friendly and charismatic personality. He is a darling of the student volleyball community.
Mitsuomi Ochi: Kouhei Amazaki
A third year at Fukuhou Technical High School. In the summer of his first year, he was injured and considered quitting the club, but Mimura talked him into staying on as the manager. Despite his subdued and gloomy personality, the players trust him to support them from behind the scenes.
