Zombieland Saga Preview (No Spoilers)
Sakura Minamoto dreams of becoming an idol. Thanks to hours of hard work honing her idol skills, Sakura is finally ready to apply. Fate, however, is not on her side, as Sakura is hit by a truck while leaving her house. Ten years after the accident, Sakura awakens in a strange home with six other zombie girls. this group of girls has been brought back to life in order to form an idol group and save Saga Prefecture.
Sakura Minamoto Highlights (Spoilers Beyond This Point)
1. Sakura’s First Performance
During their first performance, Sakura was the only girl that had truly woken up from their Zombie daze. Despite being all alone and having nobody to lean on, Sakura is able to overcome the fears and anxiety that she had, and was able to put on an amazing performance. Sakura shows off some of her finer character traits during her performance and it is the first time we get to see how happy she gets while she is performing.
2. Sakura’s Blow Ups
Most of the time, Sakura is a cheerful and hard-working girl but whenever Sakura has had enough she is willing to speak her mind, whether it is telling Ai and Junko they are wasting their zombie lives or defending her hard work by way of a rap. These moments are some of Sakura's best because it shows a more human side to Sakura and you are able to really empathize with her.
Sakura is a very supportive and caring individual that is willing to do anything to help out her friends. Whenever any of the members of the group is having problems, Sakura is there to help them. Although Sakura struggles to help some of the girls with their issues, she never gives up on them.
Although she wasn't able to accomplish her dream while she was alive, Sakura has been given a second chance at becoming an idol. Despite the confusion and fear that becomes with becoming a zombie, Sakura still gives becoming an idol everything she’s got and works hard to achieve her dream. Seeing how happy Sakura is whenever she is performing on stage is enough to melt the hearts of viewers everywhere.
5. Rap Goddess Sakura
In of the best moments from early on in the series, Sakura shows off her rapping abilities as she gets into a rap battle with Saki. Not only does this scene show off another one Sakura's talents, but we also learn a lot about her character, with her rap being centered around getting the other girls to accept their new lives and do something positive with them.
Sakura is a fantastic character with many traits that make her somebody you can really appreciate. With so much to like about Sakura, it is easy to root for her and wish the best for her future. What do you think of Sakura? What was your favorite Sakura moment? Let us know in the comments below.
