Starting off our list of 6 Manga Like Centaur no Nayami is Hitomi Sensei no Hokenshitsu. This comedy filled monster manga is filled with comedy moments at the expense of some of the weirdest ailments we’ve seen in a manga before. While less focused on the slice of life theme, Hitomi Sensei no Hokenshitsu will be an enjoyable read to those who love great art and fun storytelling. Hitomi Sensei no Hokenshitsu also does a good job of mirroring the theme or normality in life with monsters running around. 6 volumes of Hitomi Sensei no Hokenshitsu may seem like a lot but trust us everyone you won’t need a doctor to tell you why this manga is so addicting. 2. Kanojo wa Rokurokubi
- Mangaka: Nieki, Zui
- Genre: Comedy, School, Shounen, Romance, Supernatural
- Volumes: 4
- Published Date: Mar, 2015- Dec, 2016
Being in love with someone is a pretty tough ordeal. However, for girls like Kanoi Natsuki it’s even tougher because she hides a certain big secret. Kanoi is actually not human but a long necked youkai or Rokurokubi as they are called. To make matters worse, Itsuki—her childhood friend whom she loves—doesn’t know the weird events that sometimes befall Kanoi thanks to her being a youkai. How can Kanoi get Itsuki to love her all while hiding her youkai ways? Find out in this monster girl romance story known as Kanojo wa Rokurokubi.
Now we here at Honey’s Anime can’t pretend to know what Kanoi is going through seeing as how we’re not youkai people or at least don’t think any of us are. However, as we see in Centaur no Nayami, romance as a monster girl can be pretty tough. There isn’t a lot of romance seen in Centaur no Nayami—namely only one episode dealt with that showcasing our main centaur girl Kimihara Himeno—but that doesn’t mean Kanojo wa Rokurokubi doesn’t have other similar elements. Both of these stories deal with some interesting themes associated to monsters and monster girls as well as have comedy that’s never too overbearing. While Kanojo wa Rokurokubi is only 4 volumes long, we loved how the story played out and we know you will too.
3. Mononoke Sharing

However, when Yata arrives at her new place she discovers something is slightly off about her new roommates. All of them happen to be Youkai! How will the very human Yata survive in a place filled with demon girls?!
One thing found in Centaur no Nayami is understanding appreciation for those different from oneself. That’s why Mononoke Sharing is the perfect manga to read if you’re really digging the monster girl vibes found in Centaur no Nayami. Filled with comedy, the supernatural—which is obvious seeing as how most of the girls aside from Yata are Youkai—and some rather mature themes at times, Mononoke Sharing is a fun read. Our only advice while reading Mononoke Sharing is to take your time. Seriously only 3 volumes long at the moment means it won’t take you that long to catch up and then you’ll be like us waiting patiently for more Mononoke Sharing greatness.

You have a Kitsune who loves playing tricks on people, a snow girl who sleeps in the refrigerator and a Zashikiwarashi who basically eats anything around. Though they may be all from different races, these monsters get along with each other and love to live life to the fullest in their own unique ways. Welcome to Asakusa Mansion where the residents may not be human but how they live life is.
Having Ayakashi Ko on our list of 6 Manga Like Centaur no Nayami was an easy choice. The monster girls in Ayakashi Ko remind us strongly of the girls seen in Centaur no Nayami. Not only do both sets of girls hang out together on a daily basis but they do so despite being different. 6. Itoshi no Kana (My Lovely Ghost Kana)

- Genre: Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Supernatural, Seinen
- Volumes: 3
- Published Date: Jan, 2005- Jun, 2009
Daikichi run of luck lately has been pretty terrible. Ironically this seems more insulting as Daikichi’s name actually means good luck. Looking at the rather real possibility of being homeless, Daikichi decides to explore an old apartment that seems to have been abandoned for some time. However, maybe the apartment isn’t as abandoned as Daikichi thought seeing as how it’s currently being haunted by a girl named Kana who committed suicide in the apartment. What will Daikichi do now? Find out in Itoshi no Kana.
Itoshi no Kana may seem like a weird way to end our 6 Manga Like Centaur no Nayami but there’s actually a lot of similar themes in both manga. Itoshi no Kana does have times of comedy and romance—the former seen heavily in Centuar no Nayami—but the real take is that seinen genre. While Centaur no Nayami may at first seem light hearted there are times where the story gets very heavy and talks about real drama such as death, war and even feeling out of place because of segregation or class status. Some of these very same themes can be found in Itoshi no Kana and it will tug at your heartstrings. If you want a nice romance story with less focus on the monster girl aspect—though some may claim a ghost is a monster—and more on the themes found in Centaur no Nayami then we fully recommend trying out Itoshi no Kana. Honestly, the thought of finding a cute girl that’s a ghost excites us, it also terrifies us…
