This show is very interesting from its cast of characters to the plot. It centers around, and is focused on, the tourism industry. At first, I thought this show was going to be a heavily comedy centered anime, but after watching 3 episodes of it, I can start to see its appeal. It really shows you what a person has to go through or do to make a town popular again. It’s definitely worth watching! It kind of reminds me of Sket Dance in a way.

Yoshino Koharu

Voice Actor: Ayaka Nanase

Koharu is the main character. She did not like the countryside and yearned to live in the capital. She has come all the way to Tokyo to find that “special something”, however she still has yet to find out what that “thing” is. She has failed her entrance examinations for 30 companies and suddently a request for work comes in one day. By a stroke of luck, she goes from nothing to being a Queen (Angel of Sightseeing) for a mini-independent kingdom. So, she sets out for Manoyama Town. She is a friend to everyone, but she is serious to the core. She is a normal girl. However, she has a bit of a complex about her “normalness”.

Shiori Shinomiya

Voice Actor: Reina Ueda

Shiori is a staff member of the Manoyama Town Tourism Bureau who works side by side with Yoshino. She loves her hometown and is quite stable and conservative. She is bright and always keeps a positive face on. She looks after others well and is great with chores. Shiori would make an excellent housewife.

Maki Midorikawa

Voice Actor: Chika Anzai

After having her dreams shattered of being an actress, Maki has moved back home to her hometown of Manoyama Town. In Tokyo, Maki had been a part of a small theater troupe and enjoyed dinig out. In order to fund her activities, she had multiple part time jobs. She has a cool, big sister-like disposition.

Ririko Oribe

Voice Actor: Chiemi Tanaka

Ririko hates her countryside town of Manoyama Town, but she does not have the courage to leave. After graduating high school, she was not able to find a decent job, so she ended up becoming a hikikomori spending her days surfing the net. Ririko has an issue with communicating. She does have one friend. That person is her childhood friend Shiori.

Sanae Kouzuki

Voice Actor: Mikako Komatsu

Sanae moved to Manoyama Town half a year before Yoshino and has an incredible need to appear interesting. She was born and raised in Tokyo. However, after graduating from college, she joined an IT company, and then subsequently quit it. Sanae dreams of being an ecologically conscious consumer. She lives in an old Japanese-style house and does some sort of IT-related work.
