Hinano City, which produces fruit, was late to the party and missed out. Misaki Shirogane is a high school girl who loves this town and is stirred up upon seeing her aunt’s, the prefectural governor, impending sense of doom. Misaki decides to produce an action live group for Hinano City.

As for the show itself, it’s generally more targeted towards the younger audience. Being with the cast of characters are mainly young females, I think girls around the age of 15 should be able to enjoy this. As a guy in his 20s, sadly to say this anime doesn’t quite cut it for me. The plot seemed similar to the ones I saw in all of those high school idol anime as well. It all boils down to: they need to do something and become something in order to make their city/high school popular. But, at the least, I can still appreciate this anime being about tokusatsu which, quite frankly, anime about it are a rare sight to be seen.

Misaki Shirogane

Misaki is a third-year high school student and the daughter of a famous family in Hinano City. She excels in both her studies and all sports, and is the student council president. Misaki works harder than others but, for some reason, bad luck always befalls her. And so, she does not often see the fruits of her labor.
She is sometimes teased as the “unattractive girl”, but her sincere personality helps those around her to trust her deeply. Because she loves her town of Hinano City, she decides to produce Action Heroine.

An Akagi

An is the daughter of a doctor and an RN and a second-year high school student. She is a member of the new gymnastics club, but never really goes. Due to the influence of her parents working in a hospital, she has a sense of duty to help others, and thus has a strong desire to “become a hero”. An is naïve, and is a genius excelling at both exercising and sports as well as the ability to concentrate. She was a well-known member the new gymnastics team, but for some reason, she never attends.

Roko Kuroki

Roko is the daughter of the local train station stationmaster. She is Misaki’s best friend, a third-year high school student, and the student council vice-president. She has always lived near the Hinano train station, and as such, she has always liked trains since she was a child. Roko is thinking of how she can be helpful to Misaki, but for some reason she cannot express herself clearly and honestly, and often comes off as a bit of a tsundere.

Mikan Kise

Mikan is the daughter of a lemon farmer, a second-year high school student, and she used to be a part of the cheerleading club. She has promised her younger sister that she will show her an “action live show”. Mikan tends to do things carefully, she is friendly, and she likes kids. She unintentionally accepts so many things that she often says to herself “you did it again…”.

Mana Midorikawa

Mana is a second-year high school student, and the only daughter of a historical temple in Hinano City. The parishioners of the temple have decreased, so they offer the temple as a training hall. Cheeky, she always plotting of how to get a fee for the use of the temple. Since cosplay is her hobby, she is also designing the costumes for the heroine show.

Genki Aoyama

Hatsuri is a first-year high school student and the daughter of a construction company that has a deep connection with the Shirogane family. Hatsuri is part of the theater club, and her identifying characteristic is her twin pigtails. At first glance, she looks rather exquisite and cute, but whether or not it is due to the fact that she used to come and go to construction sites as a child, she actually is very strong willed. Hatsuri tends to act rather than dwell on things, which can lead to her spinning her wheels sometimes.

Kanon Shimura

Kanon is a member of the new gymnastics club. Ever since she was a middle school student, she has been competing in prefectural tournaments with An and views her as a rival.
