What You Need to Know:
- The world's largest anime event, AnimeJapan, announced that it will be held at Tokyo Big Sight and Online from March 27th to 30th, 2021. It will be the first time in about two years since AnimeJapan 2019.
- AnimeJapan 2021 will be the 8th edition of AnimeJapan and the theme this year is "connection", the message driven home by the huge efforts being made to reach those who cannot attend the event in person by preparing new online content.
- Using the number 8 and the symbol ∞ (infinity) as their inspiration, the organizers are doing their best to make sure AnimeJapan continues from this point forward. The will be held as the "first step" for the continuous development of the anime industry for the long-awaiting anime fans while and taking the maximum measures to prevent coronavirus spread.
- The co-sponsored online event is not limited to just bringing some of the content online for long-distance fans, but is considering new approaches that are unique to the online experience. Based on the catch phrase "All of anime is here", the organizers aim to create opportunities for people to come into contact with anime from both "real" and "online" perspectives.
- AnimeJapan 2021 will be held from March 27th to 30th, 2021 at the Tokyo Big Sight South and South Exhibition Buildings.
